6/4/07 Update. On Friday, June 1st, at our first summer outing at Seaside Johnnies, the award for "Yachtsman of the Year" was presented by our Commodore to co-founders "Super" and Tommy D! Congratulations guys, you deserve it!

The Tenth Floor Yacht Club was founded in September 2005 by a small group of intrepid, land-locked yachtsmen who weigh anchor in the halls of the 10th floor of The Westchester Financial Center located at 50 Main Street in White Plains, NY. Undaunted by their lack of ships nor even seas upon which to sail, our merry band of sailors has faithfully met each Friday at 5:30 PM to do what sailors since the dawn of ships have always done best – drink! Aye, tis never been any finer mates than the sailors of TFYC. Lacking, not a one, of the courage and fortitude that flows through the veins of all those who love the sea and who are beguiled by its charm. In the true traditions of the seas we hoist our Hospitality Flag to all wayward ships with crews parched of thirst and weary for revelry. Many a ship has answered our honorable call, and many a tall tale has been told amongst friends new and old. O’er the passage of the tides the membership of our intrepid club has grown to include some of the finest sailors and mates from the far reaches of the seven seas (actually CT, NY & PA, but it’s a start). So, if ever ye find yore self adrift in heavy seas or low on the essential provisions, then post a look out for the Hospitality Flag of TFYC (or email me) and I will secure for thee the Commodore’s Welcome Aboard to join in the merriment and the age old traditions of the seas. The mates meet every Friday, rain, snow, or shine at half past seventeen bells (5:30 P.M.).
